From the spoo sale. I pulled a stitches and purchased both this one and the oxford. Quite a different toe profile between the two.
Beautifuls color shoes...compliments

The overhead, side-by-side does not completely show the difference between the two lasts. In 3D, the 06 appears to have much more toe volume. It's still sleek compared to an old pair of AE I have, and the finishing is again exceptional.

They do both look good. The DG70 does an optical illusion when you wear it. From birds eye, it tapers quite extremely. It always looks great in pics though, and probably to any observer.

Might have to look into a MTO DG70 after all...

thanks. its interesting sure enough. I can imagine some saying the 06 is not sleek enough while others saying the 70 is too sleek and pointy. For me, wearing them In action, rather than studying a static photo, I find them both to be aesthetically pleasing.

They're sleeker than Alden's Barrie...that's good in my book. :D

^ that's a great comparison actually. Speaking of which wearing the Arran today's DG70 is tight on my bal boot but fits a tad wider on the chukka. Me likey

Maybe not the best thread for this question, but has anyone had success getting G&G's reheeled with 'generic' heels? I wonder if their lasts are shaped such that only G&G will have properly fitting ones for replacement? Thanks for the help.

...and if I can glom on to my own non sequitur, would using non-lasted trees warp or otherwise mishape G&G shoes over time? I'm thinking about a used pair, and I want to limit might outlays if I can.
