Prior to Sartoria Partenopea going bust, the new Cifonelli RTW was sublime. The Marbeuf (the one with the actual Cifo shoulder) did not sell that well at Barneys, hence them switching to the more universally accepted Montecarlo. Nowadays it's not bad, but it's not great. For the price you paid, sounds reasonable.

too bad they never had 36 for me to try back then, I tried 38S when Sartoria Partenopea was making the suit with the Cifo shoulder, was too big...

For posterity, the 40 is too small (tight through body, snug shoulder, binding armhole), and the 42 likely to be too large, for someone who comfortably wears Canali Kei.

In other respects, the look was indeed generic Italian - nothing particularly unique although very well executed - particularly liked the lapels.

Thanks for the advice!

I was chatting with him and his parter whose name escapes me. I like the aesthetic, but they're not cheap. At all.
I think that’s his wife. At least that’s what I read somewhere.

I’m not too shocked that Parisian bespoke (shoes and suits) cost a boat load even for smaller less well-known houses.

Yes, I also heard that Aidee is his wife / partner. I'm keen to hear from any customers how Sirven compares in quality to the better known Parisian tailors.

I knew that Aidee was his romantic and business partner but did not realize they were married. I'm curious if anyone on here will try them out as they are way out of my price range. Wishing them terrific success!

I’d be willing to give them a shot if they traveled to the US for fittings. Going to Paris for every fitting is too much for me.

Besides CdL and Cifonelli, anyone use any of the other tailors listed in this article?

https://theculturetrip.com/europe/france/paris/articles/10-of-paris-top-tailors/

The above list is very strange, mixing big names of bespoke tailoring and MTO suppliers, neglecting some good craftsmen. There are very few bespoke tailors in Paris, less than ten. The others sell disguised ready-to-wear. I haven't reviewed them all, but you will find more information on my website: http://www.milanesespecialselection.com.
