Hi all,

I am in the market for a new suit -- I'm hard to fit (43 XL) and am thinking about English American in Westminster, MD. Has anyone had a suit made by them recently?

Anyone else have a recommendation for a reasonably priced MTM suit in the DC, or NoVa area? I have heard about Sofio, but haven't seen any of his work.

Thanks!

Ha...I was JUST reading about them. Apparently you can get a fully canvas MTM suit for as little as $600. Seems too good to be true, but from what I've read people SWEAR by them.

All my MTM is currently from E-A. Not world-beaters by any stretch and the results depend heavily on your tailor knowing what's what.

But they meet my price needs right now and I am pretty happy with them for what they are.
And by the way- their turn-around time is very fast right now as business volume is generally down.

Thanks Mr. Grant -- I live in DC, so could conceivably make my way out to Westminster to see Enzo. What am I looking at for a two button, decent fabric, full-canvas, working buttons, stich lapel?

I don't work directly with them but through my local tailor. Plus I tend to buy pricier cloths

so my prices won't be yours. I have the sleeves finished locally as well.
I'd just guess, depending on your material, that a suit with those details will likely run north of $800 but I'm purely guessing. From other folks I know who use them- $1000 is ballpark. I've seen one very basic from them that purportedly was around $700.
