The (pseudo-) toe cap is done like the faux toe cap of the Langton. I am not yet sure if this new feature suits this model.

Thanks sysdoc, it's good to know as I have a pair headed my way.

I snagged the Hythe in Burnt Pine on the 888. Hope it fits. Let time I got a shoe on the 888 it was a 10F and it was too short and too narrow. This time I got it in the 10.5F, so hopefully it will be just right.

I got some John Lobb balmorals this past week (and at a price somewhat less than Edward Green's sale prices). I hope I can try on some and see for myself if they are the equal or better than John Lobb.

Anyone who didn't jump in early may want to check anyway. Perhaps the exchange rate is slowing the sale, or perhaps I just wear an odd size.

I nearly slept through this sale until two days ago when I realized it must be sale time. Found this thread, found the shoes in my size (10F on 888 or 82 last) and ordered the Beaulieu in Dark Oak on the 82 last.

As always, the gents in London were a pleasure. I'm not a shoe horse like many here, but I've now picked up one pair at each of the past 3 sales. Before you know it, I'll have a nice selection of EG growing.

Anyways - if you didn't already purchase, it may not be too late to try.

I think "may" was a modal, not a date.

Yes. lol.

I didn't say "anyone who didn't jump in in May may want....."

Historically, a lot of the shoes are snatched up in the first 6 hours - many in 24-48 hours. I was pleasantly surprised to find mine still available a week after the sale started.

However others think the D width is like a US D width. Not true for my foot.

Resurrecting this discussion... is it possible RLPLs and EGs have a different angle of instep but otherwise the same width?
