Could anyone in the US point me in the right direction of where I can donate ( mail in) mens dress shoes for a positive social cause?

I like to donate clothing and shoes to my local Salvation Army or St. Vincent De Paul thrift store. I've always hoped that someone would come in looking for an inexpensive pair of shoes and would get an unexpected bonus. The problem is that people shop at thrift stores and then resell the items on eBay. Several of the items that I've donated have appeared on eBay a week or two later. (I wear a very unusual size - US 7.5 EEE -- and the items, when listed, are from a seller in my area -- so I know they are the items that I donated). I hate this -- when I donated the items, I was trying to do something nice for someone in need -- but I don't know of a way to stop it, other than giving your items directly to someone who happens to be your size.

Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone had example photos of Galways with chunkier soles such as Vibram commando instead of the regular EG offerings of dainite, ridgeway, etc. I'd like to consider other soles for the time when mine need a resole!

Also, has anyone used lactae hevea soles when resoling their Edward Greens?

Thanks!

Well I suppose you also have the option of a double layer ridgeway sole. These were redone at the factory. Quite a bit thicker than the standard sole seen on the new pair in last pic.

Anyone who is a US9D wears a UK8.5/9 E in the 202 or 606 last? Is it very roomy? My longest foot length is 268mm but worried about being too long..

Regarding the 202 last —

would taking an F width be similar to taking an E width on Alden’a Barrie and Trubalance last?

i take an E width on both and am wondering if I wouldneed to take the F or stick to E on the 202 last.

I’d also note that if the 202 E width was similar to Trubalance D width I think I’d be able to get away with it. Sorry if this is confusing and bringing this question up again

How important is full vs half canvas to you for heavier sport jackets?
