    890 is not really narrower at the nose but certainly wider at the "shoulder". My smallest toe has more room to "wiggle". The nose is straighter which makes it sharp & comfortable. I think the last is great for a black office pair.

    Looks great, Roger! Did you add polish to darken the toe? or was that the level of burnishing that they came with?

    Thanks gents. @rydenfan, this is how they came - all I have done is to strive to maintain the excellent factory finish. Here is a pic from when they were brand new: [​IMG] They are now a bit over a year old and have seen a full season of fall and winter wear: [​IMG]

    Hmm what do you do to maintain the dark oak burnishing? Do you use black creams etc?

    Personally I use neutral, brown and black.

    very nice galways rogerp. the dark oak looks much lighter than my pair, makes the burnishing pop a little more
