I liked it, I think Hazel is more a lighter brown while chestnut has a bit of orange in it? Though I would probably take gold delapre over both as the leather felt richer in person


I own and really like gold delapre (dover from unipair)

The Braemar is sick! Is it the same as the Falkirk with a thistle on the side on a different last? I concur; something besides Galways and Dovers.

As an aside, for wear with a suit and tie or the equivalent, I think the Shannon may be slightly better than the Galway. However, I prefer an oxford shoe to a Shannon boot.
