Anyone know any NJ shoe stores that sell EGs? I only know of Leffot in NYC. Going to get my last sizings right

Hello everyone,

I've been lurking around SF for a while and finally got a question. I figured this was the best thread to post but here goes: I'm looking at picking up a new pair of EG on a discount at a retailer, which 2 models that they sell interest me. They are the Dover in dark brown London grain pebbled leather and the Berkeley in dark brown.I tend to wear fitted chinos and jeans with a OCBD or a polo shirt for work wear and casual wear. Would the perf tip cap toe still appropriate for such wear? Please advise, thank you.

Not sure I understand your question but if you’re asking which one to pick, I’d opt for the Dover. Much more versatile shoe.

Personally think oxfords are for business dress and not business casual. I think the the Dover in textured leather will go with work outfit and denim on the weekends if you wear that

The London grain isn’t honestly super versatile bud is way more casual; but the Oxford would also be out of place with what you described.

Instead of choosing the shoe based on discount, spend a tad more and get something perfect OR switch to C and J or another manufacturer who still make awesome shoes at a slightly lower price.

spending 800 plus and not getting exactly what you want is a waste.

Sad... Tokyo Ginza EG shop permanently closed. Though I can’t say I didn’t see it coming. Every time I walked by I never saw a customer inside.

Dukenukem,

Has it already closed, or was there an announcement on the door that it will close? (Maybe effective April 1?)
They were in the Tokyo Plaza Ginza. I wonder if many of their customers were from overseas, similar to Ginza Six.

I guess if you go two doors down and one elevator up, there will still be a decent selection of EG on the same block in Ginza. The store was to my knowledge owned and operated by the Strasburgo guys.
