Thanks, yeah I've had the same experience with my one Galway with suede shaft. No harm done to the calf (delapre), but I would hesitate to use on cordovan Galway due to my occassional clumsiness.

Thanks, will check out Lorenzo's instagram post!
I cannot find a comparison of 74945 and 82 on Lorernzo's instagram. Could you post the picture here when you find it ?

Wow, EG expanded their RTW selection to a large number of different models. That's great. G&G, on the other hand, they are still stuck with their Rothschild and the St. James in cherry. From the last decade. Then they are wondering with their sales are down and they have to offer 20% discount to make up for that. i have both the Rothschild and the St James, anything else? 20% discount to buy them again does not help.

Going back to this post, I gotta say Balway on 74945 last holds it's own against the Galway. Outside of Galway,I feel EB and StC have produced best interpretations of the field boot

Yeah, it definitely does. I have a few pairs of EB on the way, but all on 363MOD. If there is a Balway GMTO that catches my eye on the 74945 last, I may have to give it a shot. St. Crispin or maybe Zonkey Boot is definitely next up on my "to try" list.

As far as Balway/EB GMTOs are concerned, I always keep my eyes on that guy @nishant haha. I jumped on his all hatchgrain Armagnac Balway GMTO, which I think will turnout even better than my color 4 Balway that was just delivered.

EB has so many of my orders on the bench that I have stopped counting.. I am hoping @SoleGarb is keeping numbers :)

Really excited about all the incomings from the house of Bonafe ..

& Did anyone say Color 4 ?

?

I've always felt C&J executes shell footwear exceptionally well, but after my first pair of EB I think Bonafe maybe just as good. I'm comparing 6 shell boots/shoes from C&J vs 1 from EB, so may be too early to call based on my personal experience

Found an example of 82 last with Ridgeway sole, balmoral (Chelsea) of all things. Doesn't look bad in my opinion, I think it could work on whiskey Galway too for a casual look

I just realized from your instagram post this is by Carmina, not EB. Very impressive, IMO finish looks better than my color 4 u-tip and some of the other color 4 boots on Carmina thread (which were excuted very well for the most part) .
