I have a large big toe (but a relatively narrow instep). It looks like that big toe box would be really comfortable. I may well have to visit Budapest soon.

Do any of you feel weird when you walk around and it makes that clicking sound because of the sole?

Thread resurrection:

Thoughts on wearing brown or black RM williams craftsman (or other chelsea boots) with indigo denim (e.g. APC new standard).

Been thinking of getting a pair of craftsman to wear with my indigo APCs as well as other stuff. Really can't decide between black or brown, or whether either would look ok.

Recently got a pair of C&Js from the bay but Im somewhat unsure about them. I think they look a bit... clumsy? So I'd appreciate a second opinion here. Im aiming to use them as an all-week shoe since Ive grown tired of all my sneakers.

I agree with the brown, unless your jeans are black.

And I don't mind them being skinny but I only wear that so I guess I'm biased.

Bad jeans Tooth.

C&Js look okay. Black captoe is a bit dressy for jeans but there is no rule against it. Non-black is the usually the best bet for this look, but there are exceptions. Very shiny, patent leather styles are risky. FWIW, I used to wear black captoes with jeans during college and was happy with the look.

I don't know if I am feeding a troll here, but neither the jeans or the shoes work.

There are not real rules, but a few guidelines should be:
1) the darker the jeans the better.
2) the less formal the dress shoe the better - blucher style, more rounded toe
3) brown generally better than black (I could go either way on this as long as the first two are followed)

Hm, sorry to hear that :/ Its leather, just with a thin rubber sole on "top" of it.

Still not sure about them. Aaah the decision agony. Some people said they think they look like golf shoes, some say they're somehwat bulky and some think they're perfectly fine. I cant decide what I think myself yet..
