Finally getting to see this guy dress in HD during the Stanley Cup finals on NBC.

Wow.

Tailored suit: cream DB with black pinstripes. Black tie with white polka dots, black pocket square, and red rose in his lapel, and is that a pink shirt with a white tab collar?

What he's wearing tonight is very, very tame compared to what he often wears on Hockey Night in Canada. Also, don't listen to his babbeling.

Yup. Bad dresser in an entirely different way. Now, no sportscaster can touch the late great Haywood Hale Broun for loud dress! (sorry, coulnd't find a pic on Google)

That's the exact combination he was wearing tonight. Just substitute a red flower.

Yeah, I was flipping through the channels and just managed to catch the moment when he was talking... I thought it was a KFC commercial at first. The way his collars almost touched and hid the knot of the tie almost made me have a seizure.

They also showed him wearing a similar outfit which I think was grey when he was walking into the stadium with Schwarzenegger a day earlier.

As somebody has already observed, listening to him is even more painful than looking at him

Ahh...the effete musings of a bunch of soft-handed nancy boys. Don Cherry's sartorial style is supposed to impart, visually, the on-ice brutality of hockey. He is, clothing notwithstanding, a welcome respite from all the politically correct bafflegab that I normally hear on TV.

He used to be quite dapper. Even a Canadian sartorial icon...

When need be Don dresses the part, Hockey Night in Canada however has never been the part. In all the time I have watched I have allways looked forward to seeing how blinding his suit of choice is going to be tonight.

Clothes aside he makes some good points about retaining fighting as part of the game of hockey and doing away with the instigator penalty. But he's such a spectacle that it becomes hard for the uninitiated to take him seriously.

i hate the roping. He looks like he's wearing a medieval suit of armor. You have to wonder about the size of his closet though. He tends not to wear anything more than once and he's on every week.
