Can someone please post some real life pics of any model of customhide bags in the whiskey color please? I am looking to buy thier 1945 army breifcase repro and not able to decide on brown vs whiskey (tan) for the color. I usually prefer tan since it ages well but the pics of these tan-colored bags presently on this forum seems to be more on the reddish side ... like here:

I want to see more some real life pics before I place my order and learn the hard way ...

I have the 1945 in whiskey, but I'll never get a good representation of the color tonight in the light I have available. I can tell you that this one is very true to the color of mine:

Thanks a lot Jeff, if the color is true I'll love to buy it. How does the hardware on that bag look like? Is it really brass or just brass plated? Is there anything you don't like about the bag? I am making plenty of customizations to mine (see link below)and I hope to get this bag soon ... http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?p=1203944

It appears to be solid brass, if it's other than that I've certainly not noticed any peeling or other problems with the hardware. It's holding up very well.

So far I really haven't found anything I don't care for about it. There are some fairly substantial flaws in the leather, but they've hidden them all very well. For example, there's one gigantic scar in a panel that is hidden inside the outside back pocket. You never see it unless you're slipping a magazine or paper into the back pocket. Other than that, the leather is wearing fairly nicely.

I had them put pushlocks under the buckles on the straps and had the front flap monogrammed, those are the only modifications I made to it. I received mine in about eight weeks. For the money, I'm very well satisfied with it. It's no Smith Adeney Brigg, but at a very small fraction of the price I didn't expect that and it doesn't have to be.
