I’m not familiar with that last or fit but as a general rule of thumb, White’s tend to run a half size smaller in length than your Brannock size. I’m a 12.5C Brannock & wear 12D.
Sending in a fit sheet to White’s or Bakers is the best bet if you’re unsure of sizing.

Anyone know what a 10D in Allen Edmonds Higgins Mill would be in an MP boot?
Everybody's feet is different and I'd recommend you send in tracings of your feet to Baker's or White's. That being said, AE sized me at a 9.5 EEE in the Higgins Mill and I wear the same size in my White's.

Anyone have the MP boot in one of the oiltan roughout leathers? Being on the fence about black waxed flesh I'm now pondering black roughout to avoid the "ratty old sofa" look of worn black WF.

I agree. Do not assume your size based on another brand.

Some discussion of #8 CXL lately. I had a pair of SD’s in black CXL that I had rebuilt with #8 vamps and back stay. I think CXL is very appealing, but does not make the best leather for a boot. That said, as long as you take care of it, and don’t use them in harsh situations, it can work. The Saphir polishes seem to be keeping them in great shape. Not the greatest pics.

Nice to see these. I was just thinking of maybe getting just the backstay in brown on a new pair of black CXL SDs, so this is helpful. I can't quite tell, are these fully lined or not?

They are not fully lined. The black CXL, to me, comes across as a very dark brown. I also use the Saphir "Mahogany" polish on the black, so it enhances that.

And looks like your original black CXL didn’t stretch overmuch or get any bad breaks/wrinkling is that right?
