1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    PCK1,

Thank you for sorting this out for us. It is no point of buying generic shoe trees. However when I go ti NY I will try 348 lasted shoe tress to see how they fit my Harlech.

Since the Harlech is on a 341 last I'm not sure how much the luxury trees are worth it as opposed to C&J's standard tree or any other quality tree.

I don't have any C&J's on a 341 so I can't comment on the fit of the trees.

Perhaps someone who already has a pair of Harlech's can comment on the type of trees they use/find best.

    +1

I use lasted trees only when they are included in the price of the shoes (some EG and JL models). Beyond that, I typically use Woodlore/AE/JAB full toe trees or Alden split toe trees.

Still waiting for a tracking number... Anyone else have theirs yet?

While I'm waiting I've started thinking about future MTO's. What about a Gifford chukka, whiskey shell, hidden eyelets, storm welt on Dainite?

That sounds awesome. As far as tracking #s go, I haven't gotten my tracking # yet, but I assume that is because I asked for them to put on flush metal toe taps which Lauren said would take an additional 2 weeks.

I've got a pair of the Giffords and don't wear them much. I find them a bit too frankshoe-ish.
I think it's due to them being chukkas. I like my Giannis a lot.

Granted I don't own them, but I find them really quite appealing. What I don't find appealing are these (Poller chukka things)...

I would most definitely be in for Gianni's with a dainite sole.

    Hello Gentlemen,
I asked Lauren about tracking info and got her reply this morning around 5AM PST.

The boots are indeed ready and were shipped out Monday.

I have been based in a different shop and I have everyone's details for e-mails and I am based in the shop tomorrow that posted these shoes out to everyone so I will be able to e-mail all of the tracking numbers out tomorrow.

I have not yet got to see the boots however other members of staff have informed me that they look great.

I will be in contact tomorrow.

    Kind regards,

    Lauren Taylor

Depending on shipping, we may get our tracking info and boots at the same time.

Thanks for the info, marroyo. I was starved for info, wondering if they indeed did ship on Monday or what. I envy you folks on the eastern side of this continent as you'll likely have yours any day, now. I'll probably have to wait till next week. Maybe Fri or Sat if I'm very lucky.

Doesn't she realized that there are a bunch of men here who are anxiously awaiting that email so we can go to the USPS tracking page and hit F5 like crack starved monkeys until we see they're out for delivery?

That would be great if they arrived tomorrow, on the same day as I get the tracking info.

How true! So, let's all make a deal. Will everyone in on this deal please IMMEDIATELY post when you get yours? Post even if you haven't taken pictures yet and if you don't mind, what state you are in. Yeah, crack starved monkey is just about right...

It's better if you are surprised.
