I find any of these grocery store chickens to be extremely salty. I went to a small eatery where I live that specializes in rotisserie chicken and they say they rub salt on it and what not but I honestly can eat half a chicken at this eatery and not feel like I have to drink two litres of water for the rest of the day.

Good chicken skin is crispy. Store rotisserie chicken skin is greasy, slimy and limp.

I bought one today on the strength of this thread. It's aight. I ended up eating half and shredding the remainder to use as sandwich meat for the next couple days.

Fresh rotisserie chicken (still warm) is nice. But when it gets cold (even heated up afterwards) I agree it gets slimy. Not too pleasant.

I'm talking about roast chicken, not fried. No batter, no flour, no nothing on the skin.
