There are also some good ones on Etsy that are cheaper. That’s where we got ours from, some small company in Lithuania. It was self assembly, but so simple it shouldn’t be a barrier.

Why are these things $200? These are plywood or MDF. The baby tax is worse than a wedding tax.

Do you really need your kid to be fenced in? Unless they are particularly disconnected from their body (and if they are, no judgment), the risk of falling is pretty minimal with any sturdy stool.

Seeing she already moves dining chairs to climb onto taller surfaces, I would say no, but sometimes I don't always get the decision making authority on the toddler accessories coming into the house.

Mine has a tendency to forget he’s on a raised platform, so will easily step off when helping with cooking. Something to grab a hold off is necessary.
