It takes about 5 minutes or less per shirt to cut off the pockets. Just slice the threads on top of the pocket with an x-acto knife.

Can u post pictures of the shirt after the pocket was removed?

I have taken a pocket off a shirt as well. While I could see the marks when it was initially done, after washing there was no evidence. I am guessing this is likely true of any shirt, especially 100% cotton ones.

Cool. My main concern with these was that they are non-iron. I've seen various other threads advising people against it on BB and JAB non iron shirts. Looks like it is not an issue afterall. My practice shirt was an old chaps poly blend non-iron shirt and that came up just as easily. I think you are right, it can be done on any shirt. New use for pockets:
