I purchased a pair of the J. Crew MacAllister Boots in an anchor grey color, but ended up returning them. It's not bad quality-wise; I particularly enjoyed the plush soles of the shoes. But for $135 + tax, you should be able to do better. It doesn't help either that my girlfriend told me they were the ugliest **** ever.

Sounds like they know what they're doing.Yes, we can...price depends on what shape the "midsole" is in-- it's the thin piece that is stitched to the upper, to which the crepe components are glued. If that's in good shape, conversion is $65; if the midsole is in need of replacement, that's all hand stitching, and the new midsole is $25.... on some of the conversions we've done, we've found that leaving the top thin layer of crepe (right below the midsole) provides some nice cushioning... thanks for the inquiry....
