cardholders.. wait for hermes? settle for goyard/lanvin/balenciaga etc

Posted this in the mens forum but got no views so thought id try here..

My birthday is coming up and I thought i'd get myself a nice wallet/cardholder. I've had my eye on the Hermes Calvi however I noticed that it was out of stock in the online store. When I went over the weekend to Hermes Rodeo they seemed to have a full stock of small leather goods, however I called today to see if they had the Calvi in stock and the SA told me they are currently out of all small leather goods. He put me on the waiting list but said it isn't out of the ordinary for it to be out of stock for months.
My question is, should I wait on the calvi or settle for something like goyard, lanvin, balenciaga. are any of these comparable to hermes (i know, goyard canvas). what other options do I have?

before anyone mentions it, yes i know they are absurdly expensive, but a wallet/cardholder can last a really long time and i dont want to walk around always knowing something better is out there.
