Burgundy pebble grain penny loafers - recommendations?

I recently took delivery of a pair of allegedly burgundy pebble grain penny loafers from Morjas to round out my shoe options.

The pic on the website looked great. This was the last pair as they are now only doing burgundy smooth calf. My beef is that the colour of the shoe is nowhere near ‘burgundy’ to my eye, and is more like a very dark brown that will almost appear black in low light, not the rich dark red I was hoping for as depicted on their website pics.

So I will probably send them back. I’m now fixated on getting a pair of burgundy pebble grain pennies and am discovering that they aren’t that common. Anyone have any recommendations? Looking for half straps not beef rolls, don’t mind if they’re leather or rubber soled.

Pebble grain prooved hard to find. Im thinking MTO might be the best option.

Septieme largeur has a wide range of options for patina service. All are smooth, dont know if they can add the pebble grain. The same goes for Carlos Santos via AFPOS. One last option could be the Norwegian aurlands shoe, they are not pebble but a heavy 2,2 mm rustic leather. The sole is glued, but they offer factory resole. They are different from morjas for sure. If you are interested I can proxy from Norway.

I know meermin makes a relatively big range of burgundy loafers. Not sure if pebblegrain is one of them or not.
