Are you talking about Poszetka? I've ordered from them last month, paid by PayPal, and the numerous issues the courier generated were very nicely handled by Joanna (28 emails and counting!). I've yet to get the goods due to aforementioned courier issues (if you're in a rush, use DHL, not DPD) but it really is not their fault and the customer service so far has been great.Tried both those Polish sites...won't ship to my country, and payment by bank transfer..really?! Pity, the first one in particular has some lovely looking ties.
Has anybody tried Giles Hevair?
. I've never worn a cotton tie, whether the long or bow variety, and have no idea how it looks. He's an artisan based in Lyon, and specialises in making bow ties himself (self-tie, mostly) from the famous silk woven in the same city, in batches of 1-20 ties. The kicker is the prices, 40-50 EUR for made in France from French silk is surreally low (by comparison, Kimono in Paris, the only other place I am certain has them made in France, is 75-90 EUR/tie).
I'm tempted but would quite like to see some "in the wild" before pulling the trigger. In particular, the "anthracite-burgundy" woven silk tie looks completely different in the 3-4 photos I could find online. I'm also drawn to the gold and red ones but not sure how they'd look outside the studio.
I'd also be interested in any photos of cotton ties worn in the wild, preferably full body photos as opposed to close-upsAgain, the photos on GH's site look good, but stock photos can be deceptive...

Unfortunately, Parisian-priced (i.e. around 80 EUR for most and 120 EUR for the special ones). If I wanted to pay that much I'd go straight to Sam Hober. Even at 45 EUR it is a tempting proposition and only a latent Gaullism and curiosity about one of the last remaining industries of our country leads me to the likes of Hevair.I recommend you check out leloirenepapillon
Much as I admired and enjoyed everything he owned in that movie - bow tie included - the plot did not turn out quite as expected. Despite being devoid of even a second of graphical material, it managed more shock value than an Avengers release... well played, Mr. Director, I guess. From the movie Phantom Thread.
