Those are Ron Rider natural shell cordovan from back in the day. That maker is a shadow of their former self nowadays. I had put in an order for another pair of natural shell from him. It was before the Covid pandemic and the making of them got caught up in that shutdown thing. My mistake was making full payment when I ordered. I still don’t have the boots and gave up constantly hearing, “I’ll do what I can”, from Ron. The maker they use, Cortina, has refused to make the boots according to him. 🤨 Super sketch behavior.

I assume you've already asked for a refund and have been turned down?

I've been waiting for almost 2 yrs on a Kudu Chelsea remake from Sons of Henrey. At this point I've given up after several false promises of imminent delivery. Tom Brone says he can't afford to offer refunds as there are ~20 pending MTOs. Apparently his account manager, family of factory owners, created her own system and was unable to track MTO orders. I believe the guy even though I've always found his service and communication, or lack thereof, flaky. I did call him out a few months back for offering SOH MTOs on his website despite admitting the program was a bust.

Unfortunately yeah. I reached out to Amex last year and they told me it was too late to file a claim. I paid SOH in late 2021.

He offered me bags or belts early on in the fuckery, like in 2022. I told him I would rather wait for the boots if he thought they would be made. Late last year he put in another GMTO of the same boot, and said it would be made along with all of that new order, but radio silence in my direction as others got theirs. His company emerged from the Covid fiasco in pretty bad shape. I guess I’m just a sacrificial lamb of that era. What are you gonna do 🤷🏾‍♂️
