Can I ask how long it took for you to receive these after placing the order. I understand he's pretty much a one-man show so I'm guessing quite a while. I'm going to contact him through Instagram will not expect a timely reply. Would you mind enlightening me as to his current rate for a pair of shell boots too please.

Don't think so that they did. Alden generally doesn't change the construction of their boots.

It takes time. I place my order almost 2.5 years back

his boots start Fromm 800ish for basic leathers now.

Horween shell starts at 1800 the last I checked

Maiden Voyage for these Dark Cognac (in other words, Brown or as Grant Stone calls Maduro) Horween Shell Cordovan in UK13. They are a bit long but fit great at the ball of the feet so have to live with the length. Wouldn't want to go.down to UK 12.5.
Just like the C&J Conistons.
Got Vibram rubber topy on the leather sole to prevent sliding on the carpet and also a necessity for tropical weather of Singapore.
