You gotta have the right boot, proper physique and outfit to get it done right. I've seen numerous photos on sufu where the guys pull it off effortlessly. First and foremost you need to be of slim build. Secondly, Augusta boots don't cut it, I know they're expensive but you couldn't pay this hippie to wear those atrocious looking things. Finally, skinny/slim denim/pants is also an essential part of the formula, a little more leeway can be had up top regarding shirting, though I'm compelled to say that including some sort of jacket might also be necessary. Integrate all these principles together and you'll undoubtedly pull off this look.

None of the people in this thread's pictures managed to pull off the look. The **** looks pretentious and unnaturally hipster-ish

Ok. I said this in another thread. People need to quit randomly tossing the word hipster out there for things they don't like.

It does have it's practical moments, and it can look good as well. I like it better with drapey pants rather than raw denim though. I don't like the stiffness of raw denim with the boots since it never seems to drape that nice (most posters here wear relatively un broken in denim too). I tuck my baggy wool trousers into these slim white sneakers and my israeli boots occasionally. Ends up working well and looking pretty natural. I like boot tuck with a bit of volume at the bottom instead of skinny jeans straight into the boot.

Nah man I love everybody. Except hipsters, but in your case, I make an exception to the exception.

I think the consensus is something like the classic definition of pornography, in that we have thus far been unable to come up with a well-defined methodology of boot tuck, but you know bad boot tuck when you see it. Further discussion and attempt is therefore warranted.

And yes he posts in almost every thread. It provides some comedy though...

The RO trainers have growing on me for a while. I actually like that a lot, although it looks like you are wearing Hypercolor Jeans and just pissed yourself.

I see that the trainer tuck is too young but that's just me. I usually don't see folks over 21 doing that look unless they skateboard or ride bikes

It works because mall Oriental people can wear anything. People give them the Tokyo Pass.
