My take on it is the lines are a bit cleaner, its a more dressy version of the coat line...not as relaxed. They had a wight line last year that I liked more but I think it's discontinued. Dover is also a bit slimmer and shorted with unstructured shoulder and unlined. So really just a bit more streamlined and elegant.

Please note however I have not seen this years Dover, and when I was in Japan last month someone at Isetan said they were changing it slightly, to make it more "elegant"...but I think it will be called Dover 2, the big change is slight shoulder padding and sleeve wadding. He said something like partenopea shoulders

i have quite a few Bogliolis and i really like them. i wore the hell out of a brown cotton db sit this summer. Trim lines and soft shoulders, and am using it as a base for my first foray into bespoke, my much delayed blue linen db

Though I've never owned one, I've seen several boglioli suits/jackets on ebay for about $ 300-$500, brand new and used coats.

Thinking about buying this one. I wear dark jeans most of the time.

Is the color of the jacket not too dark for that purpose?

I got a Boglioli cotton jacket, bought it from Yoox about 4 years ago. It's still holding up, quality seems OK, although I had to re-sew the buttons as a couple of them started to become loose. Made in Italy and not China.

Bought some from the threedifferent sale recently (as many others did) pretty good value for the K jackets if you're into the more casual deconstructed sort of look

Hm, I guess it shouldn't be a problem, though it might depend on what you are thinking to wear underneath: a sweater, maybe a rollneck, or just a simple shirt? I have a couple of grey blazers, some woolen/tweed aswell that i oftenly wear with dark/black jeans, or with corduroy and woolen trousers; I guess you can't go wrong when matching similar/neutral colours :)

They appear to fit the mannequin but whether they fit you cannot be determined.

If you are looking for a classic menswear fit, probably not. Boglioli isn't for you. But if you want something with a bit more of a fashionable fit, shorter, snug, trim, then Boglioli is a great choice.

Gus is correct. I don't own any Boglioli, but even in their more structured
models I have to go up a size, at least based on the models(s) I've tried
at two different stores

Wow. Boglioli in long is rarer than hen's teeth, great find.

True. Any shop offering longs online would make a killing...
