Just saw a bunch of this collection at Bloomingdale's and GODDAMN, thought it was AMAZING. The outwear is totally on point, and I am seriously considering picking up the peacoat. The styling is amazing, the stuff is the slim fit americana I've been waiting for, and the fabrics are very impressive. By FAR the best collection I've seen for F/W.

Favorite pieces:

slim fit black peacoat
the shirting is very nice
$450 alden esque work boots in very soft leathers

$675 and was the best fitting peacoat I've ever tried on. was a true slim fit, so you don't have to size down and get a too small shoulder. I fit the L perfectly - even the sleeve length.

http://drinkinanddronin.wordpress.co...-reid-fall-09/ some shots. robin they have much better outwear than EG IMO. its warmer, instead of the whole 'thin wool outerwear that's made for layering', and the construction and fit is far superior. it is more expensive, but not much so. the highlights for me were a glen plaid tweed topcoat with a leather lined collar and two front pockets, the black wool peacoat and a flannel lined heavy down shawl collar jacket in army green with a brown knit shawl collar. it includes a game pocket made of a waxed cotton on the inside.

lots of heavy tweeds and wools. they also had some interesting wool sweater jackets, and a lightweight tweed shirt jacket. footwear seemed nice for the price - $400ish for basic americana pieces, although alden really already has this category for me, so I didn't pay that much attention. I saw some very nice wool/flannel shirts and a wide array of basic button downs.

The waxed field coat has all kinds of neat patches on the interior.

I tried it on in the Houston store.

I was about to buy it even though I'd NEVER need it down here, that thing is WARM.
