My first wife grew up outside Chicago in the 60s. She used to talk about her neighbors who lived in the basement and kept the upper house furnished and wrapped in plasic
Wrong answer. Get a new TV.This is a huge L. Get a new remote.
No toddlers here but we do have dogs. It happens. Easily replaced.
Dog will love you no matter what. A kid can grow to hate you.Yeah but I think it'd be easier to replace a dog than a kid, no?

When my father died back in July, we decided immediately to toss what we called the "FFC". That's Frasier's Father's Chair. Fortunately it was in his room and not a living room. And while it had no plastic cover it was a very worn(out) leather. We got a beautiful bowl, filled it with water from a nearby fall, then sprinkled the chair using a branch of Rosemary. I recited a Native American prayer known in this area. Afterward we put it in the SUV and drove it to the dump. I still felt guilty. My great grandmother died in 1996 and still had her couch wrapped in plastic. That couch was going on 50 years old by then and was completely worn out under the plastic. We made a mini-ceremony of removing the plastic on one cushion right before we threw it out.
Either a horror or pR0n film title. Maybe both. When my father died back in July, we decided immediately to toss what we called the "FFC". That's Frasier's Father's Chair. My spouse's parents had what I called a Jetson's Sofa that was still wrapped in plastic. That said, it had been in storage since he and I met. It was gorgeous mid-century ... medium blue ... and I was eager to have them give it to us. Sadly we discovered that critters had found it. The plastic didn't help. They entered from below.

Yes, condolences for your loss.My condolences for the loss of your father.
My grandmother had an entire room full of plastic covered furniture that was never used. I'm talking about the room, not just the furniture. And its not like she lived in Blenheim Palace. We used to jam into the tiny "TV room" to socialize. My first wife grew up outside Chicago in the 60s.
