As I pointed out, I do prefer Camille Fournet. Here is an example of an alligator with sharkskin underlining.

It is acceptable, but I think Camille does better.

Anyways, if you do go custom, you might consider getting an undercasing if it is a sports watch. Here is an example from Felisi calf that I just posted on the Cool Old(e) Watches thread.

Undercasings and protective covers are signs of a bespoke strap, if I may use the word bespoke, or cousu main, as others might say in wis land.

They're Sterling Silver O rings on croc straps from Bergdorf Goodman. Though they're absolutely exquisite, I rarely wear them. If you have a 33 inch waist we might be able to make a deal.
