I wonder if someone signed up for the Alfred Sargent/AFPoS shell bal boot MTO? Would be a nice surprise to hear that it's a go!

Does the TG73 fit like the EG 888?
NAMOR, I think I might take the dive finally :slayer:

yeah, i would say they are very comprable to one another. IME, G&G seems to uses a softer, more comfortable leather so the G&Gs fit me better. both are on the narrow side

My apologies NAMOR this etiquette violation but please could you tell me how much those set you back - I'm looking for some Bal Boots and am a little cash strapped and think Carmina might be my best bet quality to cash.

EDIT: Nevermind, their online shop is now up and wow I had no idea their shoes were so damn well priced.

Carmina, hands down, delivers the best value for shell Cordovan boots. I knew they made great stuff but this pair blew me away. I have a G&G shell bal boot in the works and I'll be hard pressed to find a worthy ($800) difference between the two pairs

one very visible and functional difference is the pull tab. G&G/EG has the pull tab at the back in leather while your Carmina appears to have fabric pull tab at the top.

Pull tabs, hate them. EG, G&G, GMP, Carmina, leather, canvas, they all suck. I find myself adjusting my pants 3-5 times a day. Tempted to just chop them off. Somebody save me from myself

That's correct. I may have them removed and sewn to the inner lining so that they no longer push up my pants
