Armani - New Batman Movie

I just saw the ad last night in GQ advertising that Armani is doing Bruce Wayne/Christian Bale's Suits in the New Batman Movie. I am not sure how I feel about that. I would think that someone with Bruce' Waynes style and money would be in something a little more high end than Armani. *not that I have anything against Armani*. Actually my first thought was Tom Ford, but now that I see he is doing Bond - never mind. Any thoughts on this, both from a literal and fictional perspective.

Everyone knows the Armani brand. If the suits were tailored by Sartoria Attolini or Kiton, then some people would go "wtf?! who are these makers?" and "why couldn't they get someone like Armani to do it?" It's Hollywood, and Armani is good publicity for the masses.

I mean, do you really think anyone is going to see the movie because armani did the suits. Brioni did the suits for Bond for years. Who has ever heard of brioni *I jest*. They got it on the back end in their own advertisments. Same with Omega, Aston Martin, Etc.

Probably not, but some people will definitely consider buying Armani suits becayse Bruce Wayne wore Armani (I am sure the suits will look great), and won't be shocked by a $2k price tag because it's Armani. Can you imagine what their reaction to the price would be had the suit been made by Kiton?

Very True - and notice in the ad's that its HMTM suits they are shopping. My favorite wealthy industrialist would be in bespoke anyways.

MTM GA Black Label Suits are fully canvassed and superb quality and are $5-8k+.

The White Label, Armani Collezioni, suits are fused and around $2k.

I would guess Bale's wearing Black Label.

I like both Tom Ford and GA and look forward to Quantum of Solace and Batman.

Batman is kind of a 1920's theme correct?

Or am i wrong, is it futuristic now?

I'm not much into batman, just think the joker is pretty cool.

Neither. Just modern and as gritty and realistic as a story about a guy running around in a rubber bat costume chasing costumed supervillains can be.
