Appropriate shoes for September in New York.

I'm heading from Australia to New York tomorrow for the month of September.
I've been trying to figure out which shoes will make the cut.
Currently in the mix are my Mid- Red Wing lace up boots, I'm not sure if this over kill for that time of the year.

Could anyone make any recommendations on the best footwear for that time of year?

Also in my bag:

Off-White Vans,
Blue Suede 1400 New Balances

Maybe:
Sperry Boat shoes
Clarks Chukka Boots

I'd take the chukkas. (And rubber boots for the next hurricane.)

Temperature in NY is still around 70s in Sept. So there isn't any special shoes required.

Something with Rubber soles is probably a good idea since rain would make walking dangerous if you are on leather sole.

Concurred. Chukkas yes, your Red Wings would make a bit of a statement (in a very positive way, mind you), and the Vans would probably be underdressing it a bit.
