Anyone familiar with Lanvin suits

Found one today at Barney's marked way down (under $1,000). The jacket fit nicely but the pants were a little full (legs, not waist) but the tailor felt it would be no problem to cut them down. Just a bit unfamiliar with the brand and wondered about quality, etc. It is fully canvassed and super 150's wool just hoping someone could fill in the blanks. (Also found a very nice Brioni overcoat - lighter weight w/ no lining marked down from like $3600 to $499. I believe there was a 44 also if anyone is interested plus a nice Battistoni suit in 42R marked down to $1,200.)
