I can't believe Revolutionary Road is being made into a movie!

I devoured this (and everything else) 20 years ago after being turned on by a friend. A little(!) dark, but great stuff. I know there was a biography published a couple of years ago, but haven't read it....

* apparently the 'new' version w/ LEo & Kate on the cover has made it to the NYT bestseller list

I'm scared of the movie version. Fine with DiCaprio (though he doesn't really look '50s enough to fit my mental image of Frank Wheeler) and Winslet, but the douchebag who shat out "American Beauty"? Ugh.

I read that Seinfeld creator Larry David dated Yates' daughter (she was the inspiration for Elaine) for awhile. David came away from his first 'get-to-know-you' dinner w/ Yates a little bit shaken, and memorialized the encounter in the episode where Jerry & George meet up w/ Elaine's dad for dinner. "Master of the house, quick to catch your eye"....
