I don't know that I've ever had a pair of shoes - shell or calf - show less signs of wear than these shell Townleys:

So should I polish/condition my new long branch seconds as soon as possible, or just wear em for a while first?

It isn't apparent in the picture I posted, but the suede near the spot looks a bit flat and bald compared to the area around it.

I'd like to try to fix it before making a decision. Any suggestions? I can take a better picture tonight.

Bump. I have the exact same issue. I wound up going up a width, but that's not a satisfactory solution. I didn't try stretching because a lot of what I read said that stretching won't work. I'd be interested to know if someone can confirm/deny.

I use this: http://zelikovitz.com/index.php?pag...=247&vmcchk=1&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=53

When I need to stretch out a baby toe, I find a shoe stretcher works wonders. I'm sure there are other options available as well. I'd look for one that has lots of 'hole' options for where to put the plastic bit for stretching in a particular area - if that makes any sense... those who have shoe stretchers probably understand ;)

I just got an email for another AE Outlet sale. This time, it's for 50% off select factory-second closeouts through March 30th.

So does it work the same way as 2 for 250? Do you ask for a list in your size?

Have you tried brushing the spot or using a suede eraser?

I assume the answer is yes. I haven't yet called myself, but attached are the email and the content of the link when I clicked through.

Just got an email. The styles they list on the web page is literally all they have left.

Delray, Cody, Mayfair, Boca Raton, Patriot

Nothing to get excited about.

I think the patriot would be a good summer pick up for many people.

And, while not my thing at all, the delray's a decent shoe.
