Happy Freeport Friday, fellow barnweasels! Hope you're all gearing up for an enjoyable 3-day weekend. I've got a hot date tomorrow swapping out the faulty crankshaft sensor on Lil' Donkey's car. Really looking forward to trying to fit my fat hand through a 3" or so gap to the blind spot where the sensor is located.

Anybody get the Fathers Day flier?
Overall not too bad, the only two dress shoes are Patent Carlisle and PA’s. See below for the pairing suggestion on the Carlisle.

I realize the flier is fashion forward, but you think at least one guy would be wearing a relaxed tux or suit.

........

Are....

What the flying hell......

Patent leather tuxedo shoes with RIPPED JEANS?

The takeaway for me is: No matter what you are wearing, the PA is perfect. AE set the bar really low.

I've come to realize that the Alden Hampton last may no longer work for me. I have a pair of 911 shoes I keep trying to wear but every time I put them on the flexing just presses down on my big toes in an uncomfortable way. It seems my big toes have gotten slightly bigger in the last few years. I might have to put them on Ebay. :(.

Think you could stretch the toe box more?

For fans of food pictures in shoe threads, stopped at Whole Foods in Westwood Village this morning to have some juice before going to UCLA to participate in a research project.

For fans of pictures of A-E shoes in places where Acadamia Nuts grow, in Haines Hall at UCLA.

For fans of pictures in shoe treads of journeys taken while wearing A-E shoes, a few pictures of the walk to and from Haines Hall.

It was all uphill walking to Haines Hall, but it was downhill on the way back.

For those who have scrolled this far and may be wondering if I took a picture sitting on my favorite tuffet by the UCLA Medical Center parking structure, yes, I did.

I have a very similar issue with my pair of Aldens on Hampton last. After a few wears, I'm chalking them up as a last that just isn't for me.
