I ordered mine first day they were available!

I got rid of my cronmoks because I just wasn't wearing them enough, but man that first run were as soft or more so than MD Chukkas!
Are those the first run lighter blue, or were they one of the tan or brown pairs? They look like the first run butter soft leathers. (the second run CXL was a lot stiffer)

First run tan. Had some bad staining, so I had them dyed. The leather is so soft and supple, it seems like you only feel the soles when you're wearing them.

Non-AE, but a GYW nonetheless.

Hey guys, I wanted to share the unique and classic collaboration with the gents at Ealdwine.

A great first shot for a namesake makeup!

I got a pair of the Tan Suede Patriots that were listed for $149 plus the 25% off.

They just came in. Looks like these are left over stock from Club Monaco. Color is nice. I just don't like the dark coloration around the stitching. For those that had a pair from Club Monaco back in the day, do you recall them having the same thing?

In an earlier post I mentioned how I was seriously considering the black waxed suede Higgins Mills for $149, but I couldn’t convince myself I needed another black boot for how little I wear black. I also looked at the brown waxed suede version, but at $445 plus tax it wasn't too compelling.

I enjoy a good deal so on a whim, I did a quick eBay search for HM’s in my size. A brown waxed suede version popped up for $190 OBO with an olive dainite sole, not bad! That’s a $485 MSRP with the sole option. With several watchers on the listing I offered $170 to give myself a fair chance, and it worked. So for $180 shipped I snagged exactly what I wanted, brand new factory 1st for only $15 more than a black version from AE (with tax). Thanks to whoever the seller was.

These are super comfortable out of the box, something I can’t say for White’s, Nicks, or Grant Stone boots (though I recommend all three). The olive dainite sole is a perfect pairing with the waxed suede. The lining is lackluster compared to my CXL HM’s, but it could be from a water-resistant treatment.

Jeans are rolled to show more of the boot, I don’t typically style them that way.

As usual, that is some crazy lace closure. What width are you (in general)? And is your instep particularly low (or high)? Thanks. ☺
The original 42s have a higher cone height than the 65. These are 11EEE, same as my 65s, and not ideal fit. I wear 11.5EE in more TTS sizes.

Aaaaah. Thank you. I have "bad" closure on all my shoes, which I assign to just being a 3E and/or having high insteps too. Do any 3E's here have good closure to report, as in not a wide "V"? Thanks.
