Carmina will hand color shell as an MTO. Olive obviously, but I think someone even talked them into a purple. Rancourt buys Horween light shell (their caramel) and then colors in house as well.

Do these hand colored shells tend to lose their color more easily over time, since they were not dyed like the regular shell?

I would think not as Alden color 8 keeps it color rather well. They hand finish also.

Ordered a pair of Strandmok firsts style 4026 at the end of the buy more sale. Got them today, except they sent me 4027...doh! Also, not a big deal but surprising, some dirt/wear(?) on the sole? Maybe tried on before? Either way, my first Strandmok and pretty happy.

That is a beautiful shoe. I have the same I think. I love the natural welt.

Silly question - what is the 4026? I don't see that on their website. I only see the 4027.

As for the dirt - depending on what you paid. Full price send them back. Very cheap live with it.
