Alden... jacket?

Just curious if any of you would ever consider buying an Alden leather jacket?

I have zero affiliation with the company. I'm just asking as an exercise for a school project.

For the sake of argument, let's say it's a styled in A2 Flight jacket or typical bomber jacket style. Nothing crazy or too far removed from Alden's traditionalist style roots.

What do you think? Yay or nay!

Not unless they made it from Horween shell cordovan. But I don't think that is possible.

Based on principle? personal preference? or...?

Let's say they were able to create something of relatively high quality - something on par (or higher) with a Schott jacket. Style is of course subjective but maybe something middle-of-the-road that is versatile (like a PTB, Indy boot or their LWB).
