Advice on pairing waist and tuxedo

Hi everyone,

since yesterday I can call myself a proud owner of a dark-brown tuxedo with black peak lapels, my first one. I already have a nice black cummerbund for the warmer days, and now my problem is the following:
I'm aiming at a black Lardini waist, but this one has shawl lapels. Would it be a no-go to combine both types or is it fine since the lapels are anyway mostly hidden below the tuxedo jacket?
On google I found such combinations, and IMHO it looks good. Thanks for your advice!

I would be more concerned about pairing a black waistcoat with a brown tuxedo (which to be honest is rather non-standard). Given that and the non-matching lapels, I would quit while you’re ahead and enjoy the tux as is.

Thank you for your suggestion! But shouldn't a tux not always be worn with either a waist or a cummerbund? Because the cummerbund I have is also black.
