Advice needed! Carmina shell right now or wait for GMTO Bonafe cordovan

As the title says I'm tossing up between buying a pair of Carmina shell boots right now or wait 3+ months for the Bonafe cordovan boots to be ready. The kicker is that the Carminas are ~600 USD while the EBs are ~1000 USD. So essentially is it worth the wait and jump in price or instant gratification for the win?

It doesn't matter why, also waiting is only a matter of inconvenience. The bottom line, the major question is, what do you really want?

Agree entirely with the bolded section.

If you're happy with the Carmina boots, then get them. As you point out, they cost much less and you don't have to wait for them.

If, on the other hand, you prefer the design of the Bonafe boots, then wait for them. In the overall scheme of things, a few months isn't much and if you really want them - and if you can afford the extra $400 - then get them.

Personally, as long as the Carmina design was what I wanted, I'd just go with Carmina. I've heard that Bonafe are very nice, and they are hand-welted, but Carmina make excellent shell cordovan boots. In all honesty, the difference in feel/quality between Carmina and Bonafe will be pretty negligible so it's primarily a style decision.
