Could have been Thai. It was awhile back and I didn't know her that well. Doesn't change the fact they changed her name to that only after moving to the US.

Knew a guy in undergrad whose legal name was Hung Long John (or some variant on the spelling).

Not such a bad name really.

a friend of mine was named hung (middle name) luo. unfortunately in high school, they don't have the middle name listed so when substitutes called out his name there would always be an awkward pause and then...

"is there a mr. luo? *no reply* is mr. hung luo not here?"

Just got here, but I'm absolutely appalled that someone considered "General Lee" a bad name. There, I've said my piece and I'll go.

My buddy's coworker legally changed his name to "the dennis miller experience". It's on his DL and everything.

Bif is pretty bad.

A buddy of mine's name is Modern Man.
He is working on filing paperwork that will change his name posthumously to Dead Man.

I'm not kidding.

Any Spanish name like Juan, Jorge, Jesús... nobody outside Spanish speaking countries spells it right, and, specially in the US, has a lower class feel.

Blame the Spanish missionaries for that... they should have kept the native names... like Uaxacatalopoc, or Cuhautemohotepetoc... that way I wouldn´t find 6 million hits every time I google my name!
