I spent five days in Naples last week and thought I'd share a few thoughts and pictures. I stayed at Casa Rubinacci, which is a very nice set of apartments with everything we needed. We visited Rubinacci, Cappelli, Mina, and Cilento, among others. I've posted pics of the new Rubinacci atelier in the Rubinacci thread. We ate lots of pizza, drank lots of wine, walked a lot, and saw more of the city on this visit than on prior visits. I enjoyed our time there, but I'm not sure we will ever return. Naples is a relatively rough city, particularly when you get out of the area around Rubinacci, Cappelli, et al. We've had nothing but positive experiences, but we've met the tailoring folks we want to meet, we've seen the historical sites to see, and there are other destinations to visit. Anyway, on to the pics.
Cappelli - loved meeting Patrizio, just a charming and sweet man. Spent a good hour and a half with him and he was very patient in showing me a range of silks and wools to choose from. I ordered ties in most of the fabrics in the pictures. I may have over done it here.

Cilento - this is really a great men's shop, I could have spent hours in here, in spite of the fact that it's not a huge space. It is packed with interesting stuff. Incredible selection of fabrics, hundreds of ties, more than any place I've ever been. There's a separate boutique a few doors down that is exclusively ties. Lots of beautiful shoes, Alden and Edward Green, in models I've not seen before. They had a EG Sandringham in cordovan and in suede with leather soles and a stitched goodyear welt. My only regret of the trip was not asking how much and possibly purchasing a pair. This place is a must visit.
Da Dora - as others have said, just a wonderful restaurant and anyone who loves seafood must eat here. Also had two fabulous meals at L'Europeo and some great pizza at Da Michele.
