It pills from inside. But I was actually thinking about if the fibers were twilled tightly. That said. I’ll pay attention not to wear it on bare skin. It’s really comfortable though, as if I don’t feel it. Hence I don’t want it to disintegrate too fast lolSorry that I missed this somehow. We’ve been deep in summer/fall design and I haven’t been on SF as much as usual.
Are you saying it pills on the inside or outside? Mine pills pretty much as much as any other sweater I have that is knit with the same looser tension. I know everyone says that when a sweater pills, it means that the yarn is short and cheap, but in my experience it has more to do with the how tightly the sweater is knit. This was one of the things that I learned from Nicola, my Italian knitwear partner at Eidos, after I asked him why the insanely expensive loro piana coarsehair cashmere sweater he knit me (the softest thing I have ever touched) pilled like crazy. According to him (3rd generation knitwear designer), you can’t really have an extremely soft sweater that doesn’t pill. The reason it is soft is because you are feeling more tips of the yarn, but those tips touch and tangle when they aren’t tightly knit down, and thus pill. He used the same yarn and knit me another sample with tighter tension and it didn’t even feel like cashmere. All that is to say, the wainscott was knit with a loose tension to be soft and slouchy. Some pilling is a side effect of the vibe. That said, I personally wouldn’t wear it against bare skin, particularly because my chest looks like a southern Italian’s and the friction between my chest hair and the yarn would certainly make it more prone to pilling.
True to size. Comfortable.Does anyone have the mismatched loafers? Are they comfortable and how is the sizing?
True to size. Comfortable.
all the fits with ARK look amazing. i think it could be where we are in the winter. it def doesn't look warm enough for NYC winters; perhaps when we hit spring (or fall)!People are seriously sleeping on this.
The more recent stuff should be, but there's limited storage space. Eventually it all goes back to be recycled. When a drop leaves the site, is it still available in store for phone orders? I'm interested in some of the fleece stuff but want to pick up some of the new S/S stuff first.
