It's really a fantastic jacket, so much so that I'm probably going to sell off a couple pieces of outerwear because I tend to reach for it anytime I'm not wearing a jacket and tie. I also highly recommend the green. I had per-ordered the blue, had to exchange for size and was sent the green by mistake and ended up keeping it because it was such a great color (especially with the collar). The hood is also pretty clever, and very easy to take on and off depending on weather.

This is my problem with it. I know that if I get one, I will render several other pieces of outerwear superfluous...

Sort of what the Moscow coat has done for longer outerwear.

I'm also likely in on the bumfreezer for the next pre-order. Unless something new shows up that is equally awesome. Interested to see the fabrics this season as well.

Collar is not removable on Bumfreezer.

Pre-orders coming in the next 7-10 days. There's a new couple of styles in a length between BF and longer coat (field jacket/peacoat length).

Note that the hopsack fabrics are not available for FW17, but some more variations of herringbone colors are, and they're great.

Just received shipping notification for the Eidos navy faux donegal SC, for some reason still available in 50R. Big thanks to @gdl203 and the NMWA team for these sales, bringing the cost to a level where it still makes sense post European VAT/taxes. The emerald green is also still available in 50R, even after @mossrockss ' killer advertising. A bargain waiting for someone to claim!

Well, I have been sitting on it for quite sometime... but I just now pulled the trigger on the emerald green.

I have been waiting for either the faux donegal or the emerald green to be the sole remaining size 50 Eidos, so that you ErikJN for making the decision for me :).

Also, in other news, I will be wearing the emerald green sportcoat for my engagement pictures in the next few weeks. Greg & Co., I will be sure to post pictures, but I will surely be decked out in NMWA mostly head to toe. My fiance said I can't look like a "paw-paw," so I figured this would fit the bill.

A field jacket length from NR is the only idea I have heard in the last 8 years that would make me contemplate a change from my waxed Barbour. That is how highly I think of NR (and how attached I am to my barbour).

Did you consider the Pilot Short? That is the closest style to a field jacket

I was reacting to this, which I took as news of a new length coming to market. I didn't realize that there was something in between the BF and the overcoat length stuff.

    Gotcha

The new styles are more minimalist - like a shorter version of the SB and DB coats. No patch pockets or anything like that.

We'll pull some pics, so you guys can see

+1 to this - the Pilot Short is a hell of a jacket.

Don't rule out the Mixed Mustard color, either - it's much better than you'd suspect (and still available from NoMan in M-XXL).
