Sorry if this wasn't clear.

The bulls wool patches are on all the sweaters and are always the same color. As shown on the pics.

What you can pick is the color combination of the wool and cashmere. Three are shown on the pics + 3 others on the color card.

Finally, for those who prefer only one color instead of the two colors (e.g. all navy or all brown), it is possible and would be all merino. The bulls wool patches would be unchanged.

G - Sorry to be obtuse, but three of the pix show the same nice sweater in a single (cool?) grey color without the bull patches. Is this just meant to show what the single color option would look like (except that it would have the bull patches)?

Yes it is to show the grey/blue combo 402 (this is not a single color - it has the blue accents at collar and side panel)

I wanted to show as many of the color combos made up, as it is easier to picture than swatches

All of the sweaters will have the patches - because they're freaking awesome

Seeking the collective wisdom of the crowd here:

Which belt goes best with the Vass cognac scotch grain Norweger, as shown below?

I plan to wear these with the Rota light grey and fawn flannels, the sand cotton/linen mix, and denim.

I was looking at the Farnese belts, but couldn't find any that matched the cognac color. Also curious to know if getting a belt in matching cognac scotch grain leather is perceived as trying too hard.

Thoughts?

@gdl203 what size would you go for in the IM sweater? I know it says the medium was true to size, however looking at other IM measurements on Nmwa, size large is all over the place while medium is usually very consistent.

I have a number of IM pieces from previous years in Large and they fit great. But this year, some pieces are 44 chest (perfect) while some are 42, yet jump up to 48 in XL...

XL always seems huge by the measurements, but Large occasionally comes up much closer to medium...

Thoughts?

i actually wear mine often with the "terra cotta" brown tubo. i think the "cognac" tubo may be better, but i don't own that colorway your shoes are so far away from your belt line that as long as the shades are similar, no one will notice. only when they are right next to each other can you tell the shade is slightly off i think with the texture of the cognac scotch grain, you cant go wrong with either of those tubos

Sizing advice on the Monitaly Ranch Coat. Going by the measurements, if were to buy, say a sportscoat, I would go for the 42. But should I account for the lining when sizing and go 44? I'll probably just layer it over sweaters. Thanks!

Knitwear is notoriously impossible to measure (you can measure the same sweater three times and get three different results depending on how it's laying and the amount of natural stretch) so there is limited usefulness to interpreting measurements too literally.

I haven't noticed much difference at all in the sizing and grading of IM this season - obviously some styles have different fit than other (tunic are wider and looser, Aran are more fitted)

I don't have samples of the New Aran in all sizes so I can only tell you how th eM fits and the sizing guidance from IM : TTS. I tried on the M and it is pretty much a size too small for me. I would need the L

You don't need to size up - take your normal US chest size. This one is not one of the Monitaly styles that needs sizing up.

I think @Synthese is a typical US 42 and was wearing the sz 42 in the desert photos

I can see that; however, won't both belt and shoes age differently over time, thus developing slightly different patina?

Hows the fit on these given the narrow waistband and no belt loops.

Fit is good. I could have sized down one they'd sit higher on my waist, but I took the 34 and have a 32 waist but big legs. The 34s slide down a bit. I guess if they stretch out you could add belt loops, or just wear them slouchy.
