It sure does. I wonder if this is going to be something like the finish that Alden applies to its shells. I also wonder if it is something that can be done when sending mine in for refinishing and resoling.
One of my favorites. Unfortunately my pair displays welts in the rain or I'd wear them a lot more. Very comfortable, classic styling. The only thing I would do different is adding a double sole (non reverse welt, a la the Cambridge)
Sounds like a wonderful effort as regards AE's shell cordovan. I will be very interested in seeing some of the new stuff.

Anybody have the Bradley 2291 Burgundy Genuine Shell Cordovan? I'm currently considering getting this one next..
