thanks namor it was a little bit of a struggle for them to turn out right, this was the 3rd build of the boot as
that style is normally built on the F last but I like the result on the U a lot.

now that I have them, I wonder if goyser welt stitching would be too much on that boot

Incredible boots. I might need a pair of these and one EG Nevis for my NST fix. Maybe the Carmina in navy shell.

I do think Goyser would take away from the sleekness that seems to be the point of the last. It's super sharp. Reminds me of hunting boots or something a Dracula killer would wear.

Thanks for the inspiration my man. And congrats.

After looking at the Carmina thread - thought I might check out the GMTOs here. Nothing happening here?

Do you have any ideas for GMTO? I might be interested in 5 eyelet chukka.

No creativity from me at this current time but interestingly a chukka is something on my list. Funds willing. Although I will admit I'm partial to suede when it comes to chukkas but could go either way depending on the illustration/mock up.

Unlike Carmina, Vass doesn't charge an absurd premium for a single MTO. As a result, there is less of an impetus to pursue a GMTO, because they will sell you the shoe you want in the last you want in the materials you want without ****** your wallet for the privilege.

What is then average cost of a single MTO with Vass? I'm still waiting on the Epaulet GMTO museum calf double monks to arrive (going on almost a year now at this point), but if they fit well I'd probably be interested in getting something else done through Vass.

^^^ I have yet to order directly through Vass, but the majority of my purchases have been through European resellers and US dealers. Pricing can be a bit varied, but the single MTO price has never seemed to be that much higher than the standard stock price. If you have a particlar makeup in mind, contact Epaulet for a quote (I understand Vass does not ship directly to individual US customers any longer).
