And maybe you can. You are right about looks being deceiving, however. Fedor looks like a man who wakes up regularly with a craving for icecream, and indulges it. And apparently, he runs 10 miles a day and trains very hard, so certainly it's not that he is not doing his cardio. Mark Coleman, on the other hand, looks like he is about 80% steroids, and has muscles on his muscles, and his fighting is embarrassing. I feel like I inadvertently put everything in slo-mo when I watch him fight.

A really decent kickboxer I know looks like Santa, but that dude can move, and you realize pretty quickly that there is a lot of muscle under the fat. Punches and kicks like a freight train. Keeps on pointing out the holes in my striking, which are small only in comparison to the holes in my ground game. Of course, no one is paying me to fight.

I'm pretty sure that he could ground and pound me blindfolded, with his hands tied behind his back, unless I refused to engage, and was very quietly evading him.

I will be astonished if Huerta doesn't knock out Maynard, or submit him.
The fight between past Ultimate Fighter contestants Tim Credeur and Nate Quarry should provide a really good fight, Credeur has some really sick BJJ, if Quarry doesn't knock him out I think Credeur will sub him in the 3rd. Also Steve Cantwell vs Brian Stann on the undercard, who fought eachother for the WEC middleweight title twice before the division was liquidated (I'm calling Cantwell for this one). Brock Larson is also on the undercard, should be a quick knockout by him. With the TUF premier as well, Spike isn't kidding when they say that tonight is going to be the "Biggest Free UFC night of the year!"

Funny, but I can actually see Nate wining by submission.
As for Huerta I suppose he is the favorite but it would not be a shock in the least to see Maynard grind out a three round decision. Guy has a pretty solid wrestling back ground.

I agree, Guillard will be tapping out to a choke in the second round.
Huerta is a heavy (+300) underdog in this fight. I think Maynard is going to manhandle him the way Guida did for two rounds.

---Spoiler---

Guillard vs Diaz is a lose lose situation, I really cannot stand either of them. It kills me, Guillard has really good striking and he is really strong, but he always pulls this showboat crap and he ends up not throwing a lot of punches, he has lost a lot of fights doing this, including his first-episode loss on the first Ultimate Fighter. The few hits Guillard did throw rocked Diaz, but he is such a showboating dumbass. Credeur vs Quarry was great, so was Condit vs. Ellenberger. I am actually really dissapointed that this fight night was reduced to 2 hours, there were some really good matchups on the undercard that were not shown (its usually 3 hours long).
I really hope Huerta keeps fighting, he is a beast, I still cannot believe he did not tap it looked like his shoulder was getting torn out. I am surprised two of the judges gave Maynard a 30-27 call, I thought Huerta easily won that first round, split decisions are always interesting. Great fight night overall.

Piss poor coaching by Rampage. He puts no thought into that matchup, fails to give his fighter a gameplan, then disrespectfully leaves his corner after 2 rounds of the predictable materialize. Weak.

And that cut was pretty grizzly, the deepest gash Ive seen in a MMA fight. Did a doc get his eyes on it between rounds? Im surprised he was allowed to get back out there.

+1 really crazy. Judging by episode 2 preview, Rampage may continue ******* up hard...that poor guy really lost an enormous amount of blood.

My sentiments exactly. He needs to simmer with the jokes (like the ***** tittie jokes and fake calling his first fighter), have a bit more maturity during his lineup call, and give his fighters a bit more help than, "get up, get up, you gotta get up" over and over again, unless the show is editing out other helpful fight info he may be giving.

For those posters who think that the UFC denigrates itself somewhat by having so much focus on Kimbo, might not the same be said of Rampage's presence? Is he there to help or because he has good entertainment value in being funny and witty (but this time, unlike with Forest vs. Rampage, to the point of nauseatingly annoying).

This is going to be like the TUF:Team Rampage vs. Team Forrest all over again, which is that Rampage made terrible matchups and he seriously lost like 6 or 7 out of the 8 fights on the show. That was seriously the most brutal first episode fight I have seen, I really thought they were just going to stop it at one point because the kids cut was so bad. Why did they let Wes Sims onto this show? That dude is ******* CRAZY. Also major luls at Kimbo calling himself the King of the Street. Rashad is really too cocky in general for my taste, but I gotta say I cannot disagree with him when he says that his team is going to dominate Rampage this season.
Its also kind of sad watching all this tension build up between Rampage and Rashad since the fight has since been canceled, and it doesn't even seem like it is going to be rescheduled for many additional months to come.
