What color does TSM list those as on the email? It's hard to tell on my computer but they look either like navy CXL or dark brown CXL (my colorblindness isn't helping either). Nothing like that showed up on mine. Whatever the color, I like the look of those... and I am a fan of the crepe sole. I would happily wear those with chinos, denim, cords, moleskin...
Definitely Navy CXL. TSM Carried these but not on the crepe sole so not sure whose original makeup this is but looks like a great casual shoe

Great looking loafers.
Exactly why I didn't get the full strap cigars. I like the lhs much more. They will be mine someday.

I like both models. Perhaps it is just me, but I see the LHS and full-strap serving two completely different functions, with the LHS being considerably more casual given its last and very round toe.

Definitely Navy CXL. That makeup looks great, and is probably comfortable as all getout!

I have a pair of Navy CXL boots, and the color is a really nice, deep navy. It does seem to lighten slightly over time as well.

Agreed... I have a pair of cigar LHS that I am mothballing basically until spring. I wore it with chinos and shorts, and often sockless. Yet I plan on wearing my color 8 full straps year round with chinos, wool pants, and suits. I continue to wear them in the fall. The dark edge sole helps. The cigar full straps would likely be improved if they had a dark sole (similar to the RL Marlow penny loafers).

I really love this shade of Whiskey. I wish I would find something else in this color. I'd take any shade of whiskey, but it ain't happening.

Give Kathy at Alden DC a call...They have a Whiskey PTB due sometime in January. There is already one pair of 8D's reserved :) but it is possible they ordered more than one pair.
Ryden, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the tip! I've been wanting a whiskey PTB for the longest time. So I called Alden DC and they had a fresh pair of Whiskey PTB in size 8D in stock right now!! I had it shipped to me from DC to VA, so I should get them tomorrow. I hope I didn't get your pair Ryden and tifosi, haha. Now, I just have explain yet another shoe purchase to my dear wife. Aww, man ...

Are you friggin' kidding me??!!??

Here I was calling NY for a pair of wingtip boots cause I thought they would be in stock...and the Whiskey was in stock (which I didn't bother calling cause I would just end up on a list).
