Maiden voyage Michigan boot, Van last with cowhide. Pretty soft leather. I can't seem to make the Van last work in my Barrie size, must be my foot shape, so I took TTS in these.
I wore these with shorts today, beautiful sunny weather here!

After several orders not coming through and steadfast contact with the Big 5 sources who get rare shell...I finally got a pair of Whiskey shell LHS. Just walking around the house breaking in on carpet doing the Mac Method. It took 2.5 years, but worth the wait. One of the most flaw free whiskey hide I've owned.

Been a few questions about getting rare shell. It can be a challenge, however diligence is working relationships and getting to know the right people at these store will ultimately let you score.

The current rare shell market is dry as there is no Whiskey or Ravello to be found (I believe Alden doesn't have the leather). Last I've heard was Cigar in the AoM pre-orders a few weeks ago, which Alden does have the leather for.

I want to say "just in time for summer" as I'm here in New England but I would guess that's a great year round shoe in Texas/Georgia your stomping ground. Thanks for the tips also. Keep it cool or hot -- what ever is paid for
